HISTORY
In 1851, Boy’s Gymnasium was established in Šiauliai
In 1946, it was called Juliaus Janonio Secondary School
In 1996, the status of gymnasium was regained
Since 2003, it is a four-year gymnasium
Juliaus Janonio Gymnasium is located in the north of Lithuania the fourth largest city in the country - Šiauliai. School is in the heart of the city nearby the boulevard

STUDENT PARLIAMENT
The elective student parliament consists of 11 out-spoken students who organise most school events and solve school‘s problems.
GYMNASIUM HISTORY MUSEUM
Gymnasium History Museum was established in 1970. It contains information on school history, former and present teachersand students. Various events take place there.
LIBRARY AND READING ROOM
At present the library contains about 14 thousand books. The oldest public library in town hosts about 200 old and rare publications.
